If people could be a bit more specific about their favorite moments and why,  that would be nice!

Personally I still love Charizard and Magmar going at it IN THE VERY HEART OF THE VOLCANO ITSELF and throwing down like nobodie's business and giving no fuck.  Animation was good, battle was brilliant, tension and suspense was high and Charizard wasn't going down no matter what got thrown at it.

The Prima episode is another favorite just because of how incredibly out there it was with the tits almost literally being mashed in our faces, and of course the Flaming Moltres episode where James embraces his identity and Jesse finally realises it is never going to happen, it is never ever ever going to happen.  He's gay as a goose!

It's hard to say because my favourite moments can vary from sad to funny to hardcore badass.

So I'll just mention a funny one for now.

In Kanto, where Shroomish-head Todd debuted, Ash was hanging onto Todd's camera and Team Rocket threw bombs at him. Then Ash got one of his many questionable brilliant ideas (that somehow work, bless his luck!), took Todd's camera (so he only held onto the camera's stand) and pretended to want to photograph Team Rocket - who were THRILLED. Jessie began powdering her nose and James forgot her was holding an ignited bomb.
Then Ash says "And then look to (your) right" and Team Rocket looked to their... left. Oh yeah, and ka-boom!

I dunno if it was a Danish dub error but I just loved the direction fuck-up. Gold I tell you!
Especially considering which characters we're talking about.

Oh, and in Sinnoh where Ash and co were seperated and they each pestered Paul from catching a Fearow. They really should use him as a comedic relief some more!
Ash: "Hey Paul have you seen Dawn and Brock?"
Paul: "No"

Dawn: "Hey Paul, have you seen Ash and Brock?"
Paul: "NO!"

Brock: "Hey Paul-"
Paul: "I SAID I DON'T KNOW, GEEZ *storms off*"

It's just beautiful and ironic.

Yeah, anything with Paul being an utter douche is great. ^^ Also... the first season, whenever Ash was stupid beyond belief.

"I have my own secret method of bending spoons... MUSCLE OVER MIND!!!"

Lol, I forgot about that scene with Paul in the maze - that was hilarious, probably one of the best Sinnoh moments. Although Ash suddenly giving commands to Paul's Chimchar during that one tag battle was pretty awesome too.

And almost everything from the first 25 episodes or so was great - from the beginning up through Ghost of Maiden's Peak and the Sabrina plot arc.

Jeez...there are so many. Off the top of my head, I'd say Meowth getting high off the shuckle juice in A Better Pill to Swallow or the Flaming Moltres bit. Or another from The Fortune Hunters episode, really. It's hard to choose. I guess the last'un there. It kills me.

That one Orange Islands episode with Groucho Marx because Groucho Marx.

The entire Primeape goes Bananas episode.
